Game Studio Club Home

About the Club

Our mission is to provide northeastern students of all backgrounds, skill levels, and majors an inclusive environment to make games through short-term events and long-term, student-run projects! Whether you want to work on your first game, find a development team, or just looking for a place to practice art, programming, or writing skills, come to the Game Studio Club!

Meeting Times

We meet on campus Fridays 6:30 - 8:00 PM
In Room: Hastings 102

Long Term Projects

The following games are in long term development to be released to Steam in the coming semesters

Station Obscurum

Amidst the vastness of space, cries for help can be easily unheard, and dangers lurk in every corner. You play as an astronaut in search of parts to repair your ship, and stumble upon an abandoned space station. Explore the decrepit station, brave its terrors, unravel its mysteries, and secure the necessary components to save yourself.

Museum Project

Explore and survive a massive art museum installed on Earth by unknown means. Craft tools to navigate the environment while staying connected to the people you left behind. Catalog the exhibits and, ultimately, decide their fate.

Games

The following games were all created in Game Studio Club over a series of game jams. Feel free to click on them to try them out.

Seat Fighter

The jerk next to you is hogging the armrest... but he doesn't know that you're the legendary SEAT FIGHTER! Our game supports single-player and two-player couch coop!

Claustrophobia

You are an evil psychiatrist. 'your' patients have been institutionalized for extreme claustrophobia. Make them feel small.

Checking In

A playful criticism of the American healthcare system, Checking In transports you to an ER desk and forces you to make difficult decisions about which patients to help. Try to reach company goals and keep your job at the end of a stressful, fast-paced week! Developed in Sept. 2023 for the Ludum Dare 54 Game Jam.

Backwards-Knees Barry

Imagine a legend. A man. A beast. These things have been juggled into the shuffle of our human experience and the horrific nature of entertainment. An unlikely hero arises against a menacing force. A nation once thought decrepit and useless is given new life. A Story. No. A Legend

Rootkit Rampage

The year is 2003, and scams are running rampant across the internet. After tricking some poor fool into clicking a suspicious link, you've gained access to their computer's files. Wield the power of 1s and 0s to fight off the Firewall's minions and brick the drive!

Requiem Of Abadon

Use items you find in the a small police and gas station to find the key to escape the area while an invisible enemy, heard through 3D noise wanders through the area.
